Workshops Announced
After last weekends' successful landscape masterclass experience with NASOP, I decided that it was high time I got on with setting some dates for the workshops that I have been promising everyone for so long... So I have...
There will be four regular workshops:
- A one day introduction to the basics of SLR photography (1st on December 8th)
- A one day practical landscape workshop for the more experienced photographer
- A one day classroom session on using Photoshop and producing finished prints
- A two day master class that combines practical landscape with finishing for print (11th - 12th January 2011)

Upfront Show Closes
Unfortunately, due to ongoing building work at Upfront, my show there has been taken down.
I'm currently taking a short break from my landscape work while I concentrate on my commercial work. Later this year I will be putting on a exhibition of entirely new landscape work; watch this space (or just join my newsletter) for more details...

The Times
Tommy Martin's "Ullswater Calm" Featured in the Times
The Times newspaper last Saturday (feb 21st 2009) featured my perennially popular Ullswater Calm, which was nice. It was on the centre pages of the Weekend section and came out remarkably well, given the limitations of newspaper print, so all in all I'm pretty pleased with myself.
Limited Edition Prints of Ullswater Calm are still available online, and at my gallery, but selling fast...

The Explorer's Study
The still life of the Explorer's Study (above) is the first image I've shot for the series that is in the very earliest of stages. It brings together a set of found and inherited props that have been accumulating in my studio over the last couple of years. They all seem to sit remarkably well together, and they seem to suggest an intriguing story... More on this very soon...

Summer Show
Tommy Martin Melmerby Exhibition 2008
I'm delighted to be able to announce the very first exhibition of my landscape work.
It's at the Gallery Upstairs in Melmerby, Cumbria, right above the hugely popular Village Bakery. The show is on from July 1st to August 28th, 2008 and is open daily from 9:30am to 5pm.
