Upfront Show Closes
Unfortunately, due to ongoing building work at Upfront, my show there has been taken down.
I'm currently taking a short break from my landscape work while I concentrate on my commercial work. Later this year I will be putting on a exhibition of entirely new landscape work; watch this space (or just join my newsletter) for more details...

Last night I had a chance to see a friend I haven't seen in far too long. He happens to one half of Rizzle Kicks, who were passing through town on tour, so as well as catching up with Jordan, we got to see their fantastic show. It's been a very long time since I last shot a gig, and not why I was there, but I had a camera, the light rig was very cool.. what was I going to do..?

Winter Droving
I've just finished work on an image commissioned by Eden Arts to publicise the Winter Droving Event happening in Penrith in November...

Doors closing, doors opening
Due to increasing commitments to my commercial clients, and in order to make more of my time available to pursue my landscape work, I have decided to close my gallery in Askham.
My prints will be moving to a beautiful new permanent home at the Upfront Gallery, near Hutton-in-the-Forest, not far from Penrith.
Upfront Opening
The Askham gallery will close on Sunday Sept 30th, and we'll be opening at Upfront the following week.
The last two years in the gallery have been fantastic opportunity to meet a large number of people who are interested in my work. The feedback and encouragement I have received has been invaluable.
I would like say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has taken the time to come and see my photographs and supported the gallery. I look forward to seeing you again at Upfront.

The Explorer's Study
The Explorer's Study
The still life of the Explorer's Study (above) is the first image I've shot for the series that is in the very earliest of stages. It brings together a set of found and inherited props that have been accumulating in my studio over the last couple of years. They all seem to sit remarkably well together, and they seem to suggest an intriguing story... More on this very soon...

New Work
Last week I was able to get out between storms for fantastic day on fells. Big weather all round... And two shots that I'm very excited about. I'm just now working on getting proofs of these printed. Both will almost certainly be making it into their years' New Work Show that opens at my gallery in September.
